I've been a long time believer in the power of your thoughts
to change your life, but only recently have I seen it happen in my own career
very very clearly to the point where I am shocked and a bit scared.
I wrote several articles on finding your perfect job. My
productivity tips are all focused on helping people get more out of their life
while giving back.
Meanwhile, while Iwas
focused on this type of thinking and actions, I was also becoming more
interested in customer centric thinking. Who is the customer and what service
am I providing?
I designed a program for my company to help us all be more
customer focused. On top of the customer focus I was thinking about how the most powerful people in our world now are the Tech Leaders. The top tech leaders are also
obsessed with customer experience.
About two months ago all my strong thoughts turned into a
new career when my company asked me to take a new job running the Information
technology leadership development program. This involves helping each member
develop leadership capabilities and to find their way in our large company.
This is exactly what I've been thinking about for the past 3 years, but what is
funny, and unexpected, is how unlooked for it was.
I am living proof that the following diagram is TRUE!!
So decide carefully what you are going to think about. It
might be your next career.
Actions:
Write down what you spend most of your time thinking about
What are you feeding your brain?
Are these two items in line with your goals?
